How to use the slice tool in adobe illustrator CC 2022

How to save small shapes in Illustrator.

Hi dear, this is your host Akash. In this class I will show you how to export logos and some element from the same document but separately.

As you can see this news paper template. I exported the logo and some other elements separately by using slice tool.

So, one of my clients just gave me this work and he wants this logo, name and the barcode exported in PNG format.

So, how can we cut and export. Let’s start the class.

Just select the slice tool and create a mark on this logo.

Then the name. You can move the slice by selecting the slice selection tool. Or you can press your keyboard arrow key and move the slice’s selection.

Then please select the barcode.

Then please go to file and export then save for web.

Please select PNG-24. And please select “selected slices”.

As you can see only the barcode is selected now. That is why the barcode only will be export in PNG format.

If we want to export all the selected slices then we have to select the “all user slices”.

Now we can see our all the elements are exported in PNG format.
