How to use the gradient tool in Adobe Illustrator CC 2022 - Class 21

 Hi Dear All, This is your host Akash.

Let’s take a new document. In this class, I will teach you about the gradient tool.

The gradient tool creates a continuous, even blend of colors. It can also be used to blend color and transparency.

There are various forms of this tool you can choose from depending on how you want to use the gradient tool in illustrator. You can choose to create these types of gradients.

Let’s select the rectangle tool and let’s draw a box. Make sure there is no fill color.

Now click on this gradient icon double time then you will see the gradient box.

1st one is linear gradient click on this and get a gradient effect, 2nd one is radial gradient.

What it does it will affect from the center.

And this is the freeform gradient.

Let’s first check the linear gradient. Double click on this gradient slider so that you can change the color.

Then the right slider to change the color. You can select the slider and double click on this color picker icon.

You will be able to change the color from here also.

You can move the left slide to manipulate it more. And also same for the right slider.

You can rotate the gradient bar easily just follow my steps.

You can change the angle from here also.

You can click here and add more gradient sliders.

And you can change color by selecting these gradient sliders.

CTRL+Z or CMD+Z to undo.

You can remove the shape now and create a new one again.

Now we will check the radial gradient and use it. It is almost same but it will affect from the center.

And now the freeform tool, it will give you 4 anchor points and you can select these anchors and change the color. Also, you can add new anchors buy clicking on this shape. It is so simple.
