Knife, Scissors and Eraser Tools - Adobe Illustrator CC 2022 l Class 12

 You can see this design. I just made this design with eraser, Scissor and knife tool.

So, Let’s start the class. Please create a new document. The width will be 1920 and the height will be 1080p. Rename this document and then hit create.

CTRL+Mouse Wheel or CMD+Mouse Wheel to adjust this artboard.

Please save this as AI file so that your data will be saved.

Select the type tool and write something. Type TEXT and then increase the font size.

Please select the selection tool and enlarge this TEXT layer.

Hold Alt or Option then drag the TEXT layer. It will create a new layer. Then again hold Alt or Option then drag the TEXT layer so that we can get the same 3 layers.

1 Will be used for the eraser tool; 2nd TEXT will be used for the scissor tool and the last one will be used for the knife tool.

Please select the 1st TEXT layer and press the right key then hit “Create Outlines” so that we can erase some color from that TEXT. Then again right click and hit “Isolate Selected Group” so that we can select each TEXT separately.

Select the eraser tool, and alt or option+Mouse wheel to zoom in. You can press the right bracket key to increase the tool size or the left bracket key to reduce the tool size. Now please start to remove some color from the TEXT.

Please select the “Selection Tool” and then use your keyboard arrow key to move these shapes so that it looks great. You can use your mouse’s left key to move these shapes.

Please select the “Selection Tool” then hold Shift and select a few shapes randomly then just change the fill color.

If you can’t find this properties panel then go to the window then check the properties.

Then we will work with our 2nd TEXT layer. Press the right key then hit “Create Outlines” so that we can erase some color from that TEXT. Then again right click and hit “Isolate Selected Group” so that we can select each TEXT separately.

Select the Scissor tool, ALT, or Option+Mouse wheel to zoom in or out. Please click the edge of this text so that you can create an anchor point. Just play with this tool so that you can understand it completely.

Then you can select selection tool and move these individual shapes so that you can make it artistic.

And also, you can change the color as we did for the 1st TEXT layer.

Now we will work with the Knife tool, this tool is for just cut the layer and separate as a shape.

So, Let’s start cutting the layer. If you selected the whole shape then you are not able to move the cutted shape because you selected the whole shape. Select selection tool and only select the cutted part then move the cutted shape. It will work. After cutting all the layers into so many pcs please select selection tool and coloring these shapes as we did it for our 1st TEXT layer.

Now please back to our 2nd TEXT and move these shapes and change the colors of individual shapes.
